Science Education Grinds and Tuition

We cover all aspects of the Junior Certificate Science syllabus are covered.


Cells, Food, Human and Plant Systems and Responses, Ecology, Microbiology and Biotechnology.


Atomic structure, Periodic Table, Bonding and Chemical Reactions, Metals and Non Metals, The Atmosphere, Fossil Fuels, Water, Solutions and Crystallisation, Acids and Bases, Plastics


Electricity, Electronics, Light, Sound, Magnetism, Heat, Pressure, Forces, Motion, density, Measurement.

Grinds and Tuition Format

The course content is structured to meet the needs of each individual student. Theoretical revision of the practical course is also included.

Homework is given and corrected every week and students will be tested on material covered in class on a regular basis. The Biology and Science classes are 1 hour long and students attend once a week. Classes start in September but a student may join during the year if there are places available.

Our Biology teacher, is vastly experienced and has consistently helped our students to achieve fantastic results. She graduated from Trinity College  with a B.A.(Hons) in Microbiology followed by Hons H. Dip at Maynooth. She has 14 years experience teaching Higher Level Biology and Science and has corrected the state examinations.

We run enrolment nights throughout the year as each new term starts. You will find details in the local press or on our tuition courses listing page. While we do take students throughout the year places can be limited and it is first come first served. Please contact us now to discuss your child's place.
